Bloated

Right now I am all bloated up and weigh in yesterday was at 175.6lbs i.e. 79kg, ouch!!! All clothes feels so snugly and I cannot explain if it is TOM but trust me I have been eating as if food is going out of fashion. Program is still feeling hot in church and the turn up by member had been great. It's really taking a toll on GO and I cannot wait for it to be over. I am also happy he will soon be on his annual leave, it is a much needed rest. No exercise + bad food = bloating and gas. You can see why I can never do without working out whether there is weight loss or not, I just must do it. It is vital for my existence now.

SMART Goals

Here is Z's Transformational Tuesday post about making SMART goals: Today we're talking SMART goals. Have you set any for the next 12 weeks? Are you including goals that relate to what's important in your life, not just food & fitness? Are your goals in writing? To set yourself up for success, check if they are: Specific Measurable Attainable Relevant Timely SPECIFIC You know your goal is specific if it answers these questions: WHO: Who will be involved in helping you reach your goal (including yourself)?

Stand on the Scale

If you into weight-loss, is there anytime this happens to you? lol, that happens to me a lot of time after working so hard, counting even the calories in water and voila not 1lb gain, not 2 but 4lbs. A whole 4 lbs. This had been happening to me since 2 years now, meaning...

Streak

Image
Chris Downie (founder of Sparkpeople.com) is the father of streaks. That was the secret of Sparkpeople as a site. Now if I am an ardent follower of sparkpeople, I cannot do without a streak. Exercise streak? Not yet Food streak? Not yet My blog? I think so Still on exercise, I fell in love with some metals yesterday and .... (pics after the cut...)

TGIF

It's 6 days since blogging and I am not sure that makes me happy at all. I will really want to dedicate some "me" time for this blog and ways to also improve the looks. It is Friday today and everything actually looks "Fridayish" with a long weekend in view (it's holidays next week), there is so much traffic outside there. Everybody wants to stock their homes and get things done before the holidays I think? Office is quite a bore today and everything I had wanted to do save my hair was still not done. I was only able to make arrangements about when and what I am doing to the hair tomorrow (datsall).

Day 19 - July 19, 2014

So sad, I am still not bringing myself up to the challenge. This week had been so challenging for me in all areas but I know that I am a winner. I had registered for the next round of Biggest Loser Challenge, I look forward to it and believing that I will achieve my goals with a different team this time around (hopefully). I had a splendid day yesterday with recipes to try out and that include a fried egg with fried rice and making a lemonade. It was awesome. I know I will get there. Good news, kid sister will soon come and I cannot wait to see my nieces.

Day 16 - July 16, 2014

It is supposed to be day 16 today but alas I am so far behind. I haven't done squat in more than 4/5 days now (not good sign). I have been on some food abstinence program, if you know what that means and because of that, I have less strength to do my daily routines, if you know what that means. I will try to resume tonight though and try to also make up the days skipped. I weighed in this morning and it was just a few pounds down at 172.3 as against 174.4 last week. When this challenge is done (I mean BLC challenge), I will be weigh in every Monday as against the Wednesday weigh in and when another round of the challenge starts, I will still maintain Mondays but post them on Wednesday and I hope this does not count as a cheat. Revival going on in church and I believe God hears and listens. I will live to give the testimonies of this prayer sessions.

Run, Run, Run

Today, I was doing my running and to do better I did some tricks I learnt. 30 seconds high intensity and then 30 seconds low intensity. On the treadmill today I was doing 30 seconds 3.5mph on low and 6mph on high. I will pursue that style, maybe it makes me run faster. Day 12 - July 12, 2014

Image
Today by the books is my rest day but because I took the needed rest yesterday, I am on my toes right now. I did a hundred squats today (5 reps 4 sets of each of the 5 squats). In addition to that, was another circuit training that took care of my upper body fitsugar.com. My trainer insisted I did it with him and it was more fun doing the workout together with another lady who came to join what "we" were doing. Allllllll at the gym. Sore tomorrow? I am ready for it. Probably I am not going to give DOMS a single chance because I still have lots of circuit training to do till Monday. I think food will fall under the category of BAD today {duh}, I am sure by now I must be over my carbs range because there was too much white bread around me today, then white yam then... I don't know what white

Day 10 - July 10, 2014

Exercise I did 2 sets, 6 reps of each squat types today and feeling sore on my glutes already. Good sore. I am really getting prepared for the Week 11 challenge and it will be a little challenging, 40 minutes of ST and Cardio (combo) will be a lot of work. I think the right tool for that will be something from Jillian Michaels, maybe a Shred or a BFBM will be awesome. I am facing it straight. We shall get there I bet.

July 9, 2014 - Day 9

Exercise Yesterday was my rest day but I was supposed to do exercise for day 7 which I could not because of so much tiredness. It was so bad I had to sleep early on Monday, today was not bad either as I have to do the exercise in the office (some close corner), squats hardly need so much space or noise.

Sunday - Day 6

Exercise Squat Challenge - 10 reps of each exercise

Day 5 - 7/5/2014

Image
Exercise I slept in a bit today and after preparing my yummy breakfast and cleaning the house, I did my squats, I went back to bed. I woke up later to an awesome time with Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. With some strength I added Walk Away The Pounds with Leslie Sansone. Hussy came back from his outings and I had to stop and serve him. My coming week is going to be awesome, I always know on Saturdays like this when I am totally indoors and well rested.

Rest Day 4

Image
Exercise Today is a rest day for me in the squat challenge but it not by any means near rest for me. I did some weights in the morning, something I found very interesting and cool too. It is a circuit training with compound exercises. I am going to be sore tomorrow in my arms and I know it.

Baby

Image
Good morning good people I just wish to post the picture of this baby, I don't know why I think he is so cute. I think he is teething.

Day 3

Exercise Today is day 3 of my squat challenge: 6 reps by 2 sets of the exercise. Advantage of squat is a better butt and firmer thighs too, I hope I can get it slimmer by the end of the challenge. I was feeling a little sore this morning so I had to do just a basic workout from the Sparkpeople workout generator. Not really a challenging workout but it was ok for the day. I thought I can still add a few minutes tonight but all I feel like doing is resting this pretty head from the hard work of the day.

30-Day of Weight Loss Challenge

I have done this before and now that I have my own blog, I want to do it again. I saw a more beautiful way now with pictures frames and all. I will come up with something beautiful soon...

July 02, 2014

Exercise Day 2 of the Squat Challenge, I did the workout as early as possible so that I am not worrying about it during the day. Day 2 was 10 reps of each exercise - Narrow Squat - Narrow Squat w/back kick - Basic Squat - Basic Squat w/ side leg lift - Sumo Squat

Day 1: 7-1-2014

Image
I did it!!! Exercise Today is my first day at the squat challenge. 6 reps x 1 set. Challenging? Yes, because I had my breath raised a bit and the already sore glutes is even more sore right now. Day 1 was awesome and I look forward to Day 30 of this challenge.

30-Day Squat Challenge

I saw something I love on  http://www.fitsugar.com/Printable-Squat-Challenge-31141646  and in a minutes time it's going to be 1 July, 2014, a good time to start a challenge. As I have decided to be consistent, I hope this starts working for me well. It can only get better.
